 This course is intended to provide an overview of the commander’s responsibilities under the Army Environmental Stewardship model. The commander will also be made aware of additional training assets available to support environmental considerations in military operations.  In this course you will understand your role in investigation process, gathering facts, talk to witnesses, determine causal factors and identify corrective actions.  Arc Flash Safety In this Arc Flash Safety training course you will learn how to identify the causes and risks of arc flash. Implement safe work procedures. Identify and wear appropriate PPE and respond to an arc flash.  Bloodborne Pathogens This training session covers the safety of Blood Borne Pathogens. You will be able to identify bloodborne pathogens. Understand how diseases are transmitted, determine your risk of exposure, Protect yourself from exposure through prevention, Respond appropriately if exposed and understand your right to medical evaluations.  Confined Space Entry This course will focus on the hazards of confined spaces and procedures to be followed by personnel working in confined spaces. The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has a federal standard for safe work practices to be followed during confined space operations. (29 CFR 1910.146).  Crane Rigging This training session covers the understanding of basics of crane operations, choose the correct sling or rigging hardware, inspect rigging hardware and rig a load correctly.  Defensive Driving For Non-Commercial Motorists The main purpose of this session is to talk about defensive driving techniques so that you can be safe behind the wheel and avoid accidents.  Electrical Safety Unqualified Worker This training session covers electrical safety for unqualified workers. “Unqualified” workers are machine operators, operators of powered industrial trucks, construction workers, and others who are not qualified to perform electrical work, but who need to know important information about the hazards of electricity and how to prevent serious injury.  Emergency Action And Fire Prevention This training session covers the safety of emergency action and fire prevention. After this training session you will be able to understand the hazards that lead to an emergency. Evacuate and area in an emergency, respond to an emergency, protect yourself from fire and other hazards, prevent fires and respond to fires and spills.  HazCom Refresher The main objective of this session is to tell you about the hazards of materials in the workplace, and how to find the information you need to protect yourself and work safely.  Hazwoper Awareness By the end of the training session, you will be able to understand your role as a first responder and the company’s emergency response plan. Identify hazardous substances and know the risks associated with them if they are released or spilled. Recognize a hazardous release or spill and potential outcomes. Report the spill or release by calling for help.  Lockout/Tagout Authorized Employee This training session covers the safety procedure known as “Lockout/Tagout,” which is required by OSHA in its standard on Control of Hazardous Energy. This is part of your training in becoming an “authorized employee”—an employee who services or maintains machinery and equipment.  Portable Power Tool Safety By the end of the training session, you will be able to Identify the hazards of portable power tools, Take precautions against injury, use tool guards effectively and understand common safety practices for specific types of tools.  Scaffolds In Construction This training session will provide some basic background for scaffold installers and users that work in the construction industry. |
